When you do, you will have four options – Account Overview, Campaigns, Adsets, and Ads. Next, select The Campaigns section of course.

4.    Choose Your Objective

Now, Facebook will ask about the objective of your campaign. This is where you have to do some thinking. Here are the options you get:

Awareness: You want to reach out to as many of your target audience as you can to get your business known. To do that, you also get two options – brand awareness and reach. Which one do you want to focus on?

Consideration: The consideration option gives you several more specific choices.

If you want it shown to a lot of people, you can select that. Then, you get the option of engagement. Do you want the customers to comment, like, share, or play in an app? With the App Installs feature, Facebook will let the customers download an app when they click on the ad.

You can also aim to increase the number of people who view your video. After that, you might be interested to generate leads by gaining information about them by filling form – this is where Lead Generation helps you. You also have the option to send and gain messages.

Conversion: You use this feature to convert the responses to a website or something else. For example, the conversion feature will help you increase visits to your website. Then, so will the Product Catalog Sales and Store Traffic Options. This will give you information about the number of people you reach and how many you can turn into customers.

5.    Choose Your Target Audience

Now that you know your objective – it’s time to choose who these objectives are for. While Facebook will automatically target a few audiences based on the nature of your business, you can also select your audience. Facebook will let you select your custom audience, saved audience, and more. This way you can reach people who are your customers, have been your customers, or are like your customers.

It is necessary that you reach the right people with your ads campaign- or else the whole campaign will be quite pointless.

6.    Choose A Campaign Name

This may feel fancy but is pretty helpful. You won’t just arrange an ads campaign. As a result, a particular name suited to the purpose and audience of your campaign will help you differentiate it from other campaigns. Further, it adds some appeal to the campaign – making it look more important and organized.

7.    Choose Where You Want The Ad To Be

You pretty much know where you’re going with your ad – but where will it be most effective? Will people watch it with more attention if it comes as a post? As a video? As a message? On Instagram? As a story? Because based on your target audience, the ad will get different types of responses in different places. You will, therefore, have to choose the right place for it.

Facebook will give you a few clear options to choose from – just choose wisely.

8.    Set Your Budget

Everything is ready now – your content and also Facebook. But, you have to factor in your budget. Facebook lets you set a budget first on a daily basis and also based on the number of clicks and all. Decide which you want to focus on – clicks, shares, likes, conversions, and so forth.

After that, select a daily budget and a payment method. You don’t want to spend too much on advertising. So, this step is very crucial.

9.    Measure Your Performance

This is one of the most important steps of an ads campaign. While you’re spending so much and putting so much thought, you need quantitative guidance. You have to see if the ad is actually increasing traffic, sales, or conversions. Facebook allows you to do A/B split tests and more to monitor performance.
